Mark Newton (B.A Pol. Sc. Comms., Dip.Ed)

Mark has a passion for health and fitness and believes a healthy mind and body are essential for quality performance in any field. Mark understands achieving success in both can seem out of reach for many but his commitment and personal experiences enable him to help individuals achieve outcomes they never thought possible.

Mark was responsible for the implementation of a workplace- based health and fitness program call ‘Pro-active Inside n Out’. A health and fitness program for management, staff and clients, of a disability services provider in the Hunter Valley, NSW Australia.

The program recognised the importance of a healthy, active workforce to retention and recruitment in a competitive labour market. It included strength, aerobic, fitness and specialist core-strength training programs; mental health and well-being, rehabilitation and a comprehensive nutrition program. All of which can help contribute to a reduction on work-related illness, injury and staff turnover.

Here’s what James Brummel – senior support worker community programs – had to say about his experience training with Mark.

“As a father of two young children I realised I needed to do something about my fitness and lifestyle. By working with Mark I lost considerable weight, improved my strength and fitness and felt more energetic than I have for years. He helped me achieve far beyond what I ever thought I could”.

Mark’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and Communications), Diploma of Education (Secondary), Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training, Certificate IV Personal Trainer (Master) and Senior First Aid.
